Head of Growth
Remote · Full-time · Apply by
Abrar Nasir is an AI-first technology firm, headquartered in Toronto, that builds intelligent products and agentic systems designed to do real work.
Most firms either advise on where AI belongs or build the software itself. We do both, pairing strategic direction with hands-on engineering so that every system is grounded in a clear business case and built to run in production.
The work spans three integrated capabilities:
- Strategy: defining operating models, business cases, and roadmaps that identify where AI autonomy earns its keep.
- AI engineering: shipping production-ready agents, retrieval pipelines, and LLM workflows.
- Product: delivering full SaaS builds, taking software from concept to deployment.
Alongside client work, we design and ship our own products, from early prototypes to independent ventures. Every internal build sharpens the approach brought to clients, who get methods already proven in practice.
That experience extends to systems running across major banks, national payments infrastructure, federal government departments, and universities.
The role
We are looking for an ambitious, high-agency Head of Growth to serve as the commercial engine behind the firm. As an emerging startup redefining what is possible with AI and agentic software, we need a growth leader who thrives on execution, network-building, and high-impact revenue generation.
The role spans two core responsibilities:
- Raising venture capital
- Acquiring clients
What you will do
Venture capital fundraising and investor relations
- Design and execute an investor outreach strategy targeting venture capital firms, syndicates, and angel investors.
- Build, track, and manage a pipeline of prospective leads.
- Partner directly with the founder to craft pitch decks, financial narratives, data rooms, and strategic positioning.
- Lead pitch meetings, investor demos, and term sheet discussions to secure early-stage funding.
Client acquisition and business development
- Drive end-to-end sales cycles for our AI engineering, SaaS product builds, and strategic transformation services.
- Prospect and build relationships with target clients across enterprise, financial services, public sector, and high-growth tech.
- Translate client operational challenges into high-value opportunities for production agents, retrieval pipelines, and custom software.
- Structure commercial agreements, negotiate terms, and build repeatable sales playbooks.
Growth strategy and product feedback
- Synthesize feedback from investor meetings and prospective clients to refine the product roadmap and positioning.
- Establish commercial metrics, pipeline tracking, and revenue forecasting.
What we are looking for
- Relentless drive and agency. You do not wait for permission or instructions. You find doors, knock them down, and turn cold leads into closed deals.
- Fluency in the new AI stack. You understand what AI, agentic systems, and LLM production workflows can actually do, and what is hype. You can talk shop with engineers, pitch to tech-literate VCs, and sell outcomes to non-technical executives.
- Network and leverage. You either have direct access to VCs, founders, and corporate decision-makers, or you know exactly how to get into the right rooms.
- Pitch and storytelling mastery. You can frame complex software and vision into a story that makes investors write cheques and clients sign contracts.
- Obsession with winning. You hate losing more than you like winning, and you thrive in high-stakes, fast-moving, early-stage work.
What we offer
- Base salary of C$55,000 to C$60,000, paired with significant performance incentives
- Meaningful potential equity options package
- Flexible, remote-first working culture with a high degree of ownership
- Direct partnership with founding leadership building next-generation AI infrastructure
